At North Hill Physical Therapy, service begins with your first phone call. We will schedule an appointment, obtain insurance information, contact your insurance and verify your benefits. As a time saver and to expedite your initial visit, our required patient paperwork is also available in the Patient Center on this website. Simply print and fill from home then bring with you the day of your appointment. Joel E. Lewis, D.P.T our physical therapist will evaluate you and your condition, listening to your goals and discussing the course of treatment that is best suited to your needs and your particular situation. Joel and our fully licensed Physical Therapy Assistants will continue to care for you on successive visits and keep you informed regarding treatment changes and expectations.

Joel E. Lewis, DPT, OCS, CCI

Dr. Lewis is a local product. He enjoys living and working in our great community. Joel graduated from Seattle Pacific University and then went on to receive his degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Washington in 1992. In 2009, Joel advanced his training to the highest level by getting his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Pacific University. He is also board certified in Orthopedic Rehabilitation. Joel is also a Credentialed Clinical Instructor.

Joel is an avid reader, enjoying many different styles of books and authors. When not at work Joel likes staying active by playing basketball and riding bikes when the weather permits. He loves camping and learning about beer judging.

Blake Wood, DPT

Education

  • Centralia College – General AA degree
  • Eastern Washington University – Bachelors degree in Exercise Science
  • University of Maryland, Baltimore – Doctorate of Physical Therapy
  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)

Blake first became interested in physical therapy when helping his father coach youth basketball. He was always trying to “fix” players who got injured on the court. Fast forward a few years later and now he has equipped himself with the necessary tools in order to provide top notch PT care. From sprained ankles to post-surgical patients and everyone in between he has a passion for rehabilitation. When not at the clinic he enjoys competitive sports, with his favorite being basketball!

Kristen, PTA

Kristen has been a Physical Therapist Assistant since 2013 and takes great pleasure in seeing her patients reach recovery goals. Assisting patients is Kristen’s first and foremost function. She also assists in any way she can by greeting patients when they arrive for appointments, completing documentations, reassessing patient progress, setting up treatment rooms and taking inventory. Kristen was raised in Edgewood and still enjoys her lunch hour with family members. She is motivated by her patients as they tell her about their life and passions. She is a passionate dog lover and enjoys spending time on Ruston Way. Kristen is enthusiastic about health and well-being and loves to help people accomplish their life goals in a fun and encouraging way.

Juwana, PTA

Juwana has been a licensed PTA since 2011 in skilled nursing, outpatient and briefly in a school setting. Her role at NHPT is to treat patients by providing detailed and comprehensive instruction in rehabilitative exercises for improved body mechanics, strength and function. Her favorite pastime includes reading, dancing and spending time with her kids.

Anna, PTA

As a child Anna was always fascinated with the workings of the human body, she knew she would work in the field of healthcare. As a collegiate athlete she sustained many injuries requiring physical therapy. After having surgery as a result of one of those injuries, she knew a career in PT was for her. She enjoys encouraging patients to challenge themselves so they can return to the activities they love, finding it rewarding to see patients reach their goals! In her free time she enjoys participating in competitive sports, hiking, reading and spending time with loved ones. She is excited to be a part of the NHPT Team!

Natalie, PTA

Education

  • AA Physical Therapy Assistant

Natalie has been a recipient of PT since high school and developed a passion about it ever since. She enjoys getting to know her patients and building relationships with them. She takes pride in making sure all the patients needs and concerns are met. She enjoys making the work place a fun and positive place to be. If Natalie gets a choice to pick the clinic music, the BeeGees will be her first choice! Natalie enjoys playing volleyball, working out at the gym, hiking, spending time with family and friends in her free time.

Jeannette, Admin/Marketing

Jeannette has lived in the Milton/Edgewood community for most of her life. She grew up on the Milton side and she and her husband have raised their family on the Edgewood side! When she is not in the office or out doing NHPT marketing, you will likely find her in her barn enjoying our rural Edgewood lifestyle! With previous experience in the health and wellness industry, mortgage lending, finance and water/wastewater industry, Jeannette’s diverse experience, positive attitude and ready smile will often welcome you to North Hill PT!

Ashlyne, Front Desk

Ashlyne’s kind demeanor and efficient skill set make her a natural fit for our busy front desk! Being able to juggle multiple tasks, phones, scheduling and more – she can do with a calm, “can do” attitude and a ready smile. She enjoys playing badminton and is always ready for adventures. She loves nature and going on hikes. Currently she is working on her bachelor’s degree. Ashlyne loves interacting with people and getting to know them!

Trish, Office Administrator

Trish fills many roles at North Hill Physical Therapy. She oversees Human Resources, Billings, Accounts Payable and overall clinic management. Her “behind-the-scenes” work is vital to our day to day operations.
