At North Hill Physical Therapy, service begins with your first phone call. We will schedule an appointment, obtain insurance information, contact your insurance and verify your benefits. As a time saver and to expedite your initial visit, our required patient paperwork is also available in the Patient Center on this website. Simply print and fill from home then bring with you the day of your appointment. Joel E. Lewis, D.P.T our physical therapist will evaluate you and your condition, listening to your goals and discussing the course of treatment that is best suited to your needs and your particular situation. Joel and our fully licensed Physical Therapy Assistants will continue to care for you on successive visits and keep you informed regarding treatment changes and expectations.

Joel E. Lewis, DPT, OCS, CCI

Dr. Lewis is a local product. He enjoys living and working in our great community. Joel graduated from Seattle Pacific University and then went on to receive his degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Washington in 1992. In 2009, Joel advanced his training to the highest level by getting his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Pacific University. He is also board certified in Orthopedic Rehabilitation. Joel is also a Credentialed Clinical Instructor. Joel is an avid reader, enjoying many different styles of books and authors. When not at work Joel likes staying active by playing basketball and riding bikes when the weather permits. He loves camping and learning about beer judging.

Kristen Jonas, PTA

Kristen has been a Physical Therapist Assistant for 4 years and takes great pleasure in seeing her patients reach recovery goals. Assisting patients is Kristen’s first and foremost function. She also assists in any way she can by greeting patients when they arrive for appointments, completing documentations, reassessing patient progress, setting up treatment rooms and taking inventory. Kristen’s grandmother lives within one mile of work and she gets to spend her lunch breaks with her. She is motivated by her patients as they tell her about their life and passions. One client recently inspired Kristen to hike Mount Si in preparation for her new found goal to summit Mt. Rainer! She loves to ride her long board along Ruston Way by the water. Kristen also has a very small animal farm consisting of one cat named Lola and two Guinea pigs named Leo and Louie. Kristen is enthusiastic about health and well-being and loves to help people accomplish their life goals in a fun and encouraging way.

Chandra Hamel, PTA

Chandra graduated in 1998 and has worked in outpatient orthopedics since then. Her role as a PTA is to carry out treatment and provide quality personal care to her patients. Chandra enjoys getting to know patients while helping them improve. Chandra has been married 22 years to her husband Scott and has 3 children Ellie, Ethan and Eli. Her personal interests include spending time with her family, staying busy with her kid’s sporting events and decorating.

Juwana Hodge, PTA

Education

Juwana has been a licensed PTA for six years working in skilled nursing, outpatient and briefly in a school setting. Her role at NHPT is to treat patients by providing detailed and comprehensive instruction in rehabilitative exercises for improved body mechanics, strength and function. 
Her favorite pastime includes reading, dancing and spending time with her kids.

Chris Withers, PTA

Chris’ love for “rehabilitation” began as a youth when she started assisting disabled students during school, eventually attending multi-year summer programs. She participated as an active PT Aide/volunteer for various community programs as part of her pre-med coursework. She has been a Community Educator for The Arthritis Foundation, Ergonomics, Fall Prevention and Work-Site Body Mechanics. Her clinical background is concentrated primarily in Outpatient/Inpatient Orthopedics. She also has multi-year experience in Skilled Nursing, Hospitals, and Work Conditioning. She has served as a PTA Program Instructor and is currently studying for her K-12 Special Ed Teaching Certificate. Chris has lived in Milton for 24 years and is excited to join the NHPT staff!

Jeannette Breshears, Admin/Marketing

Jeannette Breshears has lived in the Milton/Edgewood community for most of her life. She grew up on the Milton side and she and her husband have raised their family on the Edgewood side! When she is not commandeering the front desk or in the field doing NHPT marketing, you will likely find her in her stable where she has her two Morgan horses, her dog, cats and any other four legged creature that should be so lucky! With previous experience in the health and wellness industry, mortgage lending, finance and water/wastewater industry, Jeannette’s diverse experience, positive attitude, humorous personality and ready smile are ready to welcome you to North Hill PT when you step through our front door!
